Savannah is 1 month old!

What a great first month. I can't believe its going by so fast...this is the first time in my life I want to hit the "pause" button instead of the "fast forward". Everyday is a learning experience, we learn from eachother every second. She's taught me so much in such a short time, to have patience, to listen to whats not spoken, to stop and smell the roses...literally (she enjoys being outside so much), to just look around and soak in whats around you, and to just be happy!

I have a few fun nicknames for Savannah...some of these have come from others ....Savannah bug, Meepers (nana's), Honeyhead, Peaches (baba's), little bit (the Palmers), little stinker ohh I'll think of more later! She does this cute thing with her fingers too that was captured in one of the photos...I call it lobster fingers where she takes her pointer fingers and makes them into a claw. She's our "lobster", if you've seen this friends episode you know what this means! ha ha!

We traveled to Augusta on Saturday morning for Brooke's shower. It was such a great weekend! Brooke looks sooo cute pregnant, and they are definitely ready for baby Brody! We just know Savannah and Brody will be great friends! Savannah broke in Brody's rain forest bouncer, she just loved sitting in his little nursery. Soon the two of them will be playing in there!

We also got a new riding mower...Kevin can't contain his excitement. He insisted I ride it around the yard. Boss wanted to come see me so bad, but he was very scared of the mower...the pics are pretty funny from that. Notice the brown flash in the photos...ha!

Savannah 3 weeks old

Savannah is doing phenomenal! We went to the dr. and she'd gained a pound in 1 week, and grown over 2 inches in length! This makes momma verrrry happy! That means all those feedings are paying off, thank goodness! I'd been struggling to find a "scheduling model" to follow and I finally read a book that resonated with me. Babywise has worked wonders for us! She slept through the night almost immediately and does so EVERY night. Its soo amazing. It really helps when mommy is well rested to have the energy to play all day. My mom (nana) left on Wednesday...tear. So sad to see her go. She did everything while she was here! She cooked amazing meals every night, washed clothes, cleaned, took care of the dogs, helped with Savannah, and most importantly was an amazing mom to me. Now I'm on my own. BUT we're doing ok...We've gone shopping, and made visits to all our friends around town. We found out today though that my mom and Ed are coming to visit over Memorial weekend! Yay! So exciting.

Savannah has also learned to drink from a bottle! She did it with no trouble at all! Daddy was the first to feed her and she was a champ as usual! I swear we have the best baby everrr! (do all parents say that?)

Well tomorrow we're off to Augusta to throw a shower for Brooke and Adam with Lacey and Grant, Shelly her sister and Vanessa and Clay! Baby Brody is due on the 15th of May! We can't wait for his arrival! (I know Brooke can't either!) I can't wait to see our friends and take Savannah on her first sleep over!

Savannah Pics almost 2 Weeks Old...

Our second week has gone great! Savannah had her second bath and really enjoyed it this time! She was all smiles! It was so much fun! I feel like she grows up a little every day! She's so alert and happy! I dressed her up in the cutest pastel outfit and then added this goofy headband so she looked very 80's! But I still thought it was cute! We got all dressed up and went to Carly's baby shower on Saturday. There is a pic of Daddy and Savannah. She's in her new blue and yellow dress! She looked so precious! She still hardly fits in newborn sizes so everything is so big! Hence the large yellow sweater! We're so in love with our new baby girl! She's such an amazing sleeper and eater, we are so LUCKY! We're going Home! Yay!

I just HAD to post this pic, it makes me grin from ear to ear! She has SO many expressions already! This was when we had just put her in her car seat to take her home. You can see the excitement in her face! She was ready to meet her brother Boss and sisters Marley and Lady! AHH I love her soo much!

Baby Savannah is Here!

Oh my goodness I don't even know how to describe the feelings I'm going through right now. Having Savannah has been such an amazing experience, she's such a sweet little bundle I hardly want to put her down! The C Section went well once they got the spinal in...OUCH! I am not a fan of needles it took like 5 doctors holding me to get the darn thing in. But once they got things going it was a breeze! She entered the world at 1:24 p.m. on March 31st, 2008. Weighing 7lbs 2 ounces and measuring 20 inches in length. She has the longest skinny little legs. And the cutest little face, I just want to eat her up! Daddy has been great, changing diapers, swaddling, cuddling, he's such a natural! I've got some great shots of dad changing her first poopy diaper, he didn't even flinch! This little girl has her daddy's heart thats for sure.

It didn't take us long to figure out the feeding and sleeping schedule so thats been a relief. We're home now and we're looking forward to our first nights sleep in our own beds! I'm still trying to get back to everyones phone calls and emails I promise I'll get back to everyone shortly. Between feeding every 2 hours and trying to make up for not sleeping at night its taking me awhile. My cell phone is also broken, great timing huh?
