Memorial Day Weekend Fun in the Sun!

Memorial Weekend was HOT HOT HOT which led us to spend a lot of time outside and in the pool. I couldn't wait to get little Easton in the pool because Savannah just loved it when she was a month old. Well...he didn't love it. The first time he pretty much cried the second the water touched his toe. The water ended up getting pretty warm since the weather was consistently in the 90s and by Monday he was a little more content in the bath like temperature water. Don't you love his little outfit? Savannah did however love the water. Thanks to a great swim refresher from Jodi she's a fish again. She swam for hours on end and was in heaven. We practically had to drag her out of the water and then she'd take a huge nap from exhaustion. Easton has stopped crying when I give him baths now, and loves all the warm washcloths I put on him. He gets this silly look on his face and looks so relaxed. He usually takes a great nap after a bath. I snapped a pic of his happy bath face. Too cute!

On Sunday we went to the Rome Braves baseball game with the Reese fam and the Stengel fam. WOW was it HOT! The scoreboard said 99 and I wouldn't doubt that at all. Savannah had popcorn, a hotdog, candy, and an ice cream. Think she had fun? Oh yeah! She loved singing with the songs (especially take me out to the ball game) and all the action kept all the kids pretty entertained. Kylie was so cute saying Savannahs name. I love getting all the kids together! Savannah had her first day of Cheer camp today. All the highschool cheerleaders put on the camp and she was soooo excited. She told me she learned the "firecracker" cheer. I'm sure we'll see this Friday at the performance. How cute!

Lake Winnie!

Where has this place been the last 8 years I've lived in Georgia? Lake Winnepesauka aka the hardest theme park name to spell is only 40 minutes up the road and a BLAST! Picture a carnival meets a small theme park around a small lake and you have Lake Winnie. My friends Renee and Paige and their little ones Jack and Lila go to school with Savvy and asked if we'd like to spend a day there this summer. I jumped at the chance to spend a day with my girly and I wanted Haydee to get used to spending time with Easton. Today was gorgeous, about 85 with some fluffy clouds to shade us from the heat. From the worm coaster to the swings we had so much fun! We brought picnic lunches and had a great lunch together too. It was a perfect day! Check out the pics of the kids laughing their heads off!

LET'S GO Savannah!
Who's driving this thing?

Put your hands up!! This is the photo of the day!
And randoms...

I love dressing Easton in his new duds. This shirt is hilarious. Back Seat Driver says it all. More like back seat screamer!

And Savannah loves to dress up in all sorts of interesting outfits. This one is very Lady Gaga-ish. She asked me to take a photo and when I went to do so she posed like this? Baby I was Born this waaaaayyyyyy! Marley is thinking..if she's going to dress like Lady Gaga maybe she can wear the meat costume??...just saying!

And a Dr. update on Easton. He weighs a whopping 10lbs 5 oz at his 1 month appt...whoa! He's 23 inches long so he's grown an inch too! Here I thought he was spitting up all he ate and wouldn't grow enough. Guess not! We are trying some Zantac for the little guy to see if we can help the spitting up and heartburn. Hope it works! Otherwise he's a pretty happy kid. He's fitting into 0-3 months and is almost growing out of them which blows my mind. He's growing so fast! Still sleeping from 11-5 most nights which makes momma very happy!

Boss this week had some pretty severe allergies which required me taking him to the vet for a shot and some antibiotics. He had scratched his eyes, ears, and paws raw. Poor buddy! The vet fixed him all up though and he's back to his old spazzy self! Its funny because when Savannah was the same age I had to take him to the vet for a cut ear...he's so high maintenance!

Only in Calhoun...

Sadly the last day of 2K came to an end all too quickly. Savannah LOVED her first year of 2year old preschool. I am amazed at how much she has changed since her first day in school. She truly has learned and progressed so much. Her teachers Miss Holly and Miss Beth are wonderful, and Savannah talks about them nonstop. They had an end of the year celebration last week. We met in the classroom for some songs first. Miss Holly asked what songs they'd like to sing and Savannah requested "Jingle Bells"...its May mind you. She sure loves Christmas! For the"finale" the school had a Heavenly Colors parade. I was thinking this would be something small around the parking lot or something. OH NO...only in calhoun can a small preschool shut down major streets so 2-4 year olds can walk the streets in a the colors of the rainbow. I was shocked. I couldnt help but chuckle to myself as all of Calhouns finest police officers escorted us around town. Check it out below.
Can you tell she loves her teacher Miss Holly? She asked to sing Jingle Bells.

It worked...he came over for a hug!

SHUT DOWN THE STREETS OF CALHOUN!

It has been very warm these past few weeks so we've been playing in sprinklers to stay cool. Savvy got our her chainsaw and the juxtaposition of her in a flowery suit with a chainsaw was too cute not to capture.

She came to me the other morning and told me her baby had a big poopy diaper and she needed wipes to change it. She got a bit confused when trying to put the diaper back on.

And finally the wonderful tball season is coming to an end. Its been fun! I know it sounds stupid but I've always wanted one of those buttons with my kids photo on it. I've seen other moms with them and I was always envious. Well my dream was fulfilled! We got them in Savvys Tball picture package YAY! Here we are proudly sporting our Red Sox shirts and I'm wearing my new button with the gorgeous girls photo on it!

Have a great week!
