A week of Friendship

This was a week about friends for Savannah. We had baby gym on Thursday and we had a new addition named Addison! She was 14 months and SO cute! The two of them had lots of fun tumbling, and bouncing on the long trampoline. Savannah was amazed at how mobile Addison was and it wasn't long before Savannah was trying to keep up with her! The two of them were so cute, it made me realize how Savannah really needs to be around other babies her age. It was a super fun class, we can't wait for our next one! She's gotten extremely good at getting into her forward roll position. She does it all the time. She's not quite strong enough to kick her legs over yet, but I know when she gets older she'll be quite the gymnast.
Tonight we had dinner with the Proffits and their gorgeous daughter Sloan. Savannah and Sloan love each other so much! The whole meal the two girls refused to take food from their moms and wanted to feed eachother. They were so cute jibber jabbering to one another. It was pure entertainment for both the parents and the babies! Towards the end the two girls were getting a little ansty so out of desperation we gave them both our cell phones. They were so funny holding them up to their ears saying "hello" and talking like their mommys and daddys do. For a short moment I caught a glimpse of her in 10 years...oh wow. I want her to stay young forever. I'm begging for that pause button again!! Here is a snap shot of them from Kevin's cell tonight at dinner. Its not the greatest picture but it's still cute!
Oh and she's definetly mastered her first word! I didn't count Momma and Dada as words because well it starts out as rambling and then it starts to have meaning but that seemed to easy. She has always said "DA" for the dogs but now she's making the "G" sound at the end! So DOG is her first word! Very fitting since she has dog siblings! She's also close to saying Shoe! Which is also fitting because I have a huge obsession with them. In the mornings when I'm getting ready she pulls out EVERY shoe from my shoe cubbies, as she gets taller she reaches new shoes which seem to really excite her! The plus side to this is sometimes she pulls out shoes I forgot I had and I wear them that day! She's such a good helper! Its been a great week, hope you had a good one too!
Happy Friday!!

Shake that Butt!

Who knew Savannah had rhythm? There is song that plays on her play table (and it plays often as you can hear Kevin and I singing along sadly) and it always makes her dance! I love her dance style, she totally shakes her butt! Go Baby go!

This was a long week, I got the stomach flu in the midst of our sales meeting Tuesday and Kevin and Savannah stayed over at his parents while I tried to recoup. After sanitizing the entire house we decided it was safe for them to come home Thursday. It turned out to be a great decision though, as neither Kevin nor Savannah seemed to have gotten it. The worst part of being sick was being away from them! I was so happy for them to come home. Savannah has mastered the art of standing up on her own without anything around her. She goes from a squat to standing, its very cute. She also cut her right front tooth this week! She wasn't fussy at all so I hope the other side is as easy. We went to our friend Andy and Brooke's little boys birthday on Saturday. Rocco is one! He had the cutest pirate party, and he definetly loved his cake! This pic is of Savannah all dressed up for his party! We hope you had a great week! So glad to be healthy again!

Nana came to visit!

I just love this pic...you think she loves her grand daughter?

Stealing Kisses..

Wave hello!

Nana and Savannah on the slide

I know I've shown pictures of her on the swings before, but she just loves it. I can't help but show her joy!

Daddy showering Savannah in leaves!
AHHHHHHHHH! She screams!
I just love the look Kevin is giving her in the background.
Savannah loves her wagon!
The week didn't start out too good...Kevin was driving down the road and a guy on a huge Harley decided to pass him at the same time Kevin was making a turn. Not fun! I was on the phone with him when it happened. The sound of metal on metal is horrifying! The guy and Kevin are ok, nothing a body shop and insurance can't fix!
Then on Thursday my mom AKA Nana came to stay with us for the weekend. It was amazing weather, lots of sunshine and some actual warm temps! We spent the weekend shopping for Savannahs 1st birthday party, playing at the park, taking walks, it was sooo nice! My mom took care of us as always cooking, cleaning, and watching Savannah several days while I was at work. She keeps telling me how much fun she had. I cannot wait until she moves here! She worked on Savannahs barn yard noises and she now does "mooo" for the cow. So we have a sheep sound and a cow sound. We're moving onto the horse and pig which I must say is much harder. We'll let you know how that goes. Savannah took her first steps last weekend, she took a couple steps from her play table to her dad! She's doing it more and more and is definetly more confident on her feet. I can't believe she's doing this already. I so wasn't prepared. Her hair is growing like crazy as well which you can probably see in the photos. I'm finally able to use the million bows I have! I've been dying to use them, so I'm thrilled! Its starting to curl a bit too in the back, I think her hair will be a lot like mine when I was little! Well thats it for now! Take care!
