Happy Heart Day and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

Where O' Where have we been?? I know total MIA status. It's been nuts...no wait...beyond nuts. With Grandad's surgery (he's doing fab and back here at Floyd in recovery YAY!) to insane work schedules that lead Kevin and I to work late at night on our laptops to over committing myself to parties like the one below...what the HECK was I thinking? Oh wait I remember sign ups were on the FIRST day of school when things were seemingly calm. Not so much the case now. So between that Strep throat, family visits, and just plain chaos its been impossible to post what's been going on in our lives!

So let me start with Daddy took off to Ohio the morning after I had to take Easton to the ER because he was so sick and cried nonstop for 4 hours and I just knew he had a bad ear infection. Soon after that Savannah came down with it and after that I seemed to get it. REALLY? When I'm all alone with no reinforcements and work is crazy busy and stressful. Oh yes this is happening. Luckily on Thursday Meme and Baba came to visit us. I almost handed them the kids grabbed several bottle of wine and ran and hid in a closet. But their presence seemed to calm me and we had a great weekend. Kevin ended up staying in Ohio longer to be with his fam which meant he would stay a total of 9 days...That was not fun. I missed him terribly and watching him so stressed from afar was really tough. Like I said though THANK GOD my parents were here!  That week I also had to throw Savannahs school Valentines party. How did I find out I had volunteered for such an event? OH...from a letter home in her backpack that said "Savannah's mommy Jennifer has volunteered to throw the class Valentines Party!"...I read this and thought "huh? I did, when, why? What?" So after a few tripe to Target, Walmart, and a very generous friend Tori who had some cute Vday decor I pulled it off. The kids had fun and the sugar highs were hilarious...for 5 minutes.

After Daddy got home and our routine which I cherish went back to normal it was his BIRTHDAY! His age shall remain hidden but we did have a great time celebrating! We made him cupcakes, blew up balloons, and had presents for him! We had fun singing to him and showering him with gifts as a fam. Happy 21st Birthday babe ;)!

Which one is Savannahs...oh ya its the black one. When I asked her why she said well because Quails are black!? Got to love her sense of reality.

Middle one here...He he!

Pink one..she is normal. PHEW~

The parents are doting

Just love her to pieces

Big E

Lil E is officially Big E! We had his 9 month check up this week and wouldn't you know the chunkster is in the 95 percentile for weight and 90th percentile for length! He's 30inches tall and 24.1lbs! He's still just scooting around hasn't figured out the crawling thing. If you try to sit him on the floor he wont let you he wants to stand.  You have to force him to sit, it cracks us up. He goes warp speed in his walker around the house. We've had to move out all the rugs and the coffee table so he can zip around. He obviously is an eater as you can see from his weight. He's into cheerios, cut up bananas, strawberries, corn, soy cheese and soy yogurt are his faves. He still pretty funny when you give him a new textured food though, I don't think he's kicked the texture aversion yet. His blonde hair is turning curly, eee I love it! I think his top teeth are coming in too! More chompers! He's thankfully a pretty good sleeper too except at the moment. Both Savannah and Easton are both sick so sleep isn't anything we're getting a lot of. He wakes up every 3-4 hours and the only thing that soothes him is a warm bottle. I don't mind though, I like to make sure our little guy is feeling ok. Check out the pics of our little...errr I mean BIG man from this week!

Super Bowl Curse

Well hello! We have had an extremely busy and emotional 2012 already. Just a few days after sending Boss to the rainbow bridge we learned that Grandad has a benign meningioma (brain tumor). He's kept in good spirits and his surgery is scheduled for February 14th. He's going to go to the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio to a great surgeon who specializes in his type of tumor. We know he will do great and soon we'll have Grandad back to his old self.

I had a few west coast work trips that I was able to tie into Kendalls baby shower in SD! First I flew to San Fran for Macworld and my mom was able to drive into the city and spend the evening with me before the show. We had a great girls night and ate at the coolest restaurant called Andalu. When we first walked in there was only one other table of people and we thought "oh no". Within 30 mins the restaurant was packed, the food was delish, and the conversations always endless. She bought a ticket to Macworld as well and we walked the show the next day. I had to fly to Vegas that evening to get ready for a meeting with Zappos on Friday. After my meeting I flew to sunny SD to see the fam! Friday night we ate together and Brett came over to hang out! It was a great time as always. Dad and I spent Saturday running around and enjoying the amazing sunny So cal weather. It was 70 degrees and just gorg! Sat night...The girls and I had a fab time going to Sbicca in Del Mar and then walked over to the beautiful La Auberge hotel that has a really cool bar which apparently is a happening spot. I don't get to go out in So Cal too often as I usually have my kiddos! It was a great night, I really needed that girl time!

Sunday we had Kendall and Baby Logans baby shower! Kristaan and Kelly decorated it really cute! Kendall looked adorable and seeing all the girls was great as always!

My mom had to work in Atl this Friday so she decided to stay over an extra day and hang with us! It always awesome to have her here!! I came down with a bad fever Friday night however...

On to the Super Bowl curse...The past three Super Bowls we have battled illness. 3 years ago Savannah came down with the stomach bug...and Kevin and I followed. Last year she had a bad cold and Kevin and I followed. This year Kevin started it...strep throat...I went to urgent care this morning and am now feeling a bit better on antibiotics. My mom took great care of me yesterday, always nice to have your mom around when you don't feel well.

So thats been our crazy life the past month.
