Valentines Cowgirl!

Our gorgeous girl had cowgirl day at school today! She got all dressed up in her red cowboy boots and red bandanna and was so excited to go to school and see her friends all dressed up like her! I love this photo of the little cowgirl all smiley!
I also wanted to show everyone Brookes handy work! She custom made this sign for Eastons room to match his bedding and his room just perfect! I am obsessed with it!! She's sooo talented!
And Valentines Day was this week. We got Savannah her first pillow pet and some other fun goodies to celebrate the classic Hallmark holiday of LOVE! She knew the night before she was going to be getting a "surprise" in the morning so when she woke up she was so excited to see it! She covered her eyes until we had her ready to see it. Don't you just love the bed head?

Heart Full of Happiness

Today was a new day filled with NO sickness and lots of fun! We got up early and headed out to run a few errands. Savannah was all smiles today which was such a relief. We had Rocco's birthday party at noon at the local Jumperoo place called Kidz Play. She had a ball! Her buddy Lila from school was there and they were inseparable! The place was closing and we had to drag the girls out of there...it was a hit for sure! This afternoon we painted some pictures. I framed one of Savannahs that I was so impressed with! Its of a tree with a sun. She painted grass too but I couldn't get it all to fit. Moni got us the cool frame that holds her artwork. While Savannah napped today I finished an overdue project I'd been working on. Its a shadow box of things from when Savannah was born. It has a balloon in there that was given to us while we were in the hospital, her first outfits and hats, her birth announcements we mailed out, hospital bracelets, the newspaper announcement, and of course some of my favorite photos from her first days. I'm so happy to have that done. It only took me three years and the impending birth of #2 to get me motivated! We're so thankful to be healthy again and we were able to fully enjoy our weekend! Happy Saturday!

Sicky Sickerson

There is something about having a sick baby that tears a mother apart. The feeling of helplessness, empathy, and the overall feeling to want to take the "hurt" away is overwhelming! Savannah had a bit of a stomach bug today whether it was a bug or food poisoning we aren't sure but it wasn't fun either way. I stayed home from work to take care of the little bean. I was blessed with extra cuddle time, taking a much needed nap with my girl, and finally the relief as she started to feel better. While we were cuddling before she fell asleep tonight she was almost asleep and says "Mommy I love you so much"...she may never know how much those words mean to me.

We had spent the night before making the cutest cupcakes for her party today and were all ready with her Valentines outfit but sadly we didn't get to go *sigh*...this is the SECOND year we've baked something on Valentines day only to contract some version of the stomach bug and not be able to give them out. Are the baking gods trying to tell me something? Overall though it was a good day. Our highlight was a walk to the mailbox in the sunshine. Looking forward to tomorrow where we should all be much better!

We heart sunny days and Playroom Phase II

Phew...we hardly ever have an uneventful weekend. I'm still nesting like a nut so I had to make yet another trip to Target and Homegoods this weekend. We moved the furniture that was up there down to the basement and the playtable up last week thanks to Uncle Rocky. After the addition of a new rug, huge mirror, plant, and a feable attempt at camouflaging the ugly dog crates I feel better about the space. Savannah now has two huge areas to spread out her toys and watch her favorite movies. We installed a camera monitor up there too so we get to keep an eye on her while she plays. I also found a new wall decal that I added above the montage of photos. It says "Family Life's Greatest Blessing"...I just love that!

We were able to play outside today which was nice, it wasn't the 67 degrees of last weekend but it was sunshine nonetheless! Savannah is really getting good at her balance bike if you haven't heard about these check this out http://balancebikeinfo.com/ she loves to get going on hers!

On Saturday night we made Valentines for everyone in her class! I found some neat foam hearts and stickers and we were on our way to some fun Valentines. She took it very serious and decided who was to receive each Valentine before she began and seemed to really personalize them. We packaged them up in a cello bag with a tub of playdough and a fruit by the foot. They turned out really cute! We are also making cupcakes for her party on Friday and we found some REALLY fun sprinkles for them. So we'll be sure to take photos of us baking our socks off!
Enjoy our pics of the week!

Baby Shower for Easton!

I have the best friends in the world!

As I'd said in a previous post my best friend Moni threw me the most adorable shower while we were in San Diego. From the DELISH cupcakes that I didn't need to eat 3 of...to the hydrangeas (my fave), to the beautiful place! PERFECTION! All my amazing friends came out on a very rare but very dreary rainy day to have brunch and shower little Easton. The place was called Jordns and its right on the water. Despite the rain the view was still beautiful, and the company was perfect as always. My camera had recently taken a dive out of the car so Moni had all the photos. I got the disk in the mail today so I wanted to share the pics from the day. As you can see Savannahs favorite part was eating the cupcake, and playing with the plastic that wrapped around one of my gifts...of course! And isn't little Addison a doll? She has the most beautiful red hair like her momma and loves to scrunch up her face and smile at you. Thanks to all my amazing friends who always make us feel so special when we visit. You're always there to shower us with love! I love you all to pieces!
This plastic is the best toy everrr!
