Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone! I hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas! Kevin and I had a great time with the Palmers eating...lots of eating. Savannah got some amazing Christmas gifts, and so did we! Our family really loves us! We got some much needed R&R and were able to get Savannahs crib put together, eeeeee! We also decorated our loft and got it set up with a new flat screen which Kevin swears every newborn needs! She'll be an ESPN buff in no time! We had to go back to work today *sigh* BUT Moni and Jack arrive tomorrow so we're soooo excited! I can't believe they are coming in the winter, they are soo brave! Dr. Appt today, 24 weeks!

23 Week Baby Bump Photos!

Here are my 23 week baby bump photos...im getting very big as you can see! I've posted the 20 week photo for comparison...GEEZ there is a pretty big difference! I can't believe we're almost 6 months prego. Savannah kicks me every day all day, she's very active. Kevin has been able to feel a lot of big kicks, which has been neat. Nursery Update! We added Curtains!

Hello! I hope everyone had a fantastic Turkey day! We had an amazing weekend! We had dinner at the Palmers and stuffed ourselves silly. We spent the rest of the weekend Christmas shopping (I'm done! Woohoo), relaxing by the fire, and decorating the house for Christmas. Our tree and decorations are all up, I just LOVE Christmas time! We were also hard at work adding more to the nursery. Here are the pictures of the pink gingham curtains. I also took a pic of the finials, I just love the hand painted pink flowers!

It's a BABY GIRL...for sure!

We had our big 20 week ultrasound and check up today! Everything is doing great! The ultrasound tech said its 100% girl, no doubts...which is great since we've painted the nursery, and we've received such adoreable baby girl clothes as gifts! We have a DVD of the entire thing, its incredible but I can't figure out how to upload it. It's in a weird format sorry! At one point during the ultrasound they were showing her face and her mouth was moving like she was telling a story, and Kevin goes "she's just like her momma, always talking!" Ha ha! So cute! All her measurements looked great and they are sticking with the April 5th due date. It was a great appointment, and great news that Savannah is perfectly healthy! Happy Thanksgiving! Savannah already has her Daddy wrapped around her finger!

Those of you that know Kevin know that he is not a big shopper. In fact his two least favorite activities in the world are 1. spending money 2.shopping...so when he comes home everyday with something new for his little girl I can't contain my surprise and excitement! This weekend was my favorite...I watched him walk into the house with a GIANT stuffed monkey! This thing is life size, and sooo soft! He was so proud of himself! Of course it was for Savannah. Then he proceeds to show me his next big purchase, an adoreable long sleeved polo dress with bloomers in pink! So cute! I decided I had to gather up all the things he's bought this lucky little girl and post them on the blog. These are all things he's bought on his own! So cute! I love love love my man!

Nursery Update & 20 week Belly Pics!

Hello! The painting is complete and we moved in the furniture we have so far! I'm sooooo pleased with the way it turned out! I had this vision in my mind and its dead on! The painters did an amazing job, and the furniture looks soooo cute against the pink and white walls! Kevin kept saying how much he liked it. I was a little nervous he would think it was "too girly" but he LOVES it. I caught him going up there to take another sneak peek this morning :)

I'm also attaching my big 'ol belly photos. You can see a little difference! I'll attach the photo from 16 weeks for comparison. You can tell I cut my hair...I'm going low maintenance these days...well in the hair department at least Ha!

We have our big 20 week ultrasound on Wednesday morning of next week! I am sooo excited and anxious to see her again! Especially since we wont have another ultrasound for 2 more months after that. I'll fill you in next week. Love you all! Jennifer, Kevin, and Baby Savannah

Here are some updates on the nursery. The chair rail is installed, and the paint colors have been chosen. The painters come Monday and we'll be moving out the old furniture this weekend! Here are a few photos until the painting gets done! I attached a pic of where I tested the stripe colors that will be under the chair rail (they'll be wide 5" stripes). I love the colors! Above the chair rail will be white. We've picked up some of the new nursery furniture too so we'll move that in once the painting is complete! YAY!

This is your brain.....This is your brain on pregnancy hormones

So I've done a lot of stupid things since I've been pregnant but this one takes the cake! Yesterday I was backing out of my garage and forgot one import action that would make that possible.... OPENING IT! Yep, I backed into the garage door. DUH! This is a photo of me later when we were able to laugh about it. We'd tried to lower the door and this is what happened. I'd totally mangled the thing...I figured I'd take a photo to put in Savannah's baby book to show her what she did to mommy's brain for 9 months. 9 months of the STUPIDS!

Oh and I had to attach a photo of my cuddle bug pups. They are SO clingy since I've been pregnant! They all want to lay on top of me, it's really cute. Boss even brought me a dead mole he'd trapped in the backyard. He was really proud of his kill and was so excited to give it to me, I just couldnt be mad. I've read that this is typical of dog pack members to feed the pregnant alpha female (me). So I praised him, patted his head and SCREAMED for kevin to get rid of the dead rodent. Halloween Pics #2

I thought I'd attach a photo of my "costume" for Halloween. My shirt had a speech bubble coming from my belly and it read "I'm dressed up as my mom". My lovely furbabies got Halloween bandanas from Grandma as well as a pigs ear treat so I wanted to show you how cute they looked! Notice Boss has the bandana on that says "Boo" Because we call him "Bossy Boober Toobers" (you have to hear me say that to get it). Happy Halloween!

AFP Test Results are IN!

I called my midwife yesterday for the blood test results and she just called me back! GREAT NEWS! She said the test results were extremely positive and that I should be very happy with the results! The test looked for the probability that we would have a baby with a trisomy defect, spina bifida, or down's syndrome. This was a HUGE sigh of relief. I know these are just odds but I like my odds... 1 in 5,000!!! And she said for my age the typical odds are 1 in 1,000 so my blood test exceeded whats likely for my age! WOOOHOOO!

Savannah's Nursery

Update! We've ordered all of Savannah's furniture, I've attached photos of everything. The color is espresso, it's a rich dark wood. Her crib converts to a toddler bed and full size as she gets bigger. Then we got the changer that converts to a bedside table. The double dresser and the bookcase.I've also attached a photo of her bedding. I think its sooo cute! Very shabby chic! We're having someone come in and install a chair rail around her room. And we're getting wide stripes painted under the chair rail in two shades of a very light pink. Above the chair rail will be all white. I've agonized over these decisions for weeks!!!!! I can't wait to get all this put together! I'll take photos of our progress...Love Jen, Kevin, and Savannah

16 weeks & 4 days Doctor Appointment!

Hello everyone!!! We had our monthly check up today. Savannah is doing fantastically. We heard her quick little heartbeat and she was bouncing around as usual. I've gained 5 lbs! Woohooo! I'm supposed to gain a pound every week now, we'll see how that goes. It was a pretty routine check up, but the midwife said all my levels looked great and she was surprised to see my iron levels doing so well at this point. She said many women experience depleted iron mid-pregnancy but I'm doing perfect! Still on track to get the Rogham shot since Kevins blood type is A+ and mine is O- but not until 26 weeks. We have our next BIG ultrasound appointment on the day before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21st at 9am). We'll get a DVD of the entire ultrasound. I'm really looking forward to that one. On my way home from the appointment I got my first big "kick" from the little stinker, I was sooo happy! It's like she was saying "hey mom!" It totally brought tears to my eyes! I find myself talking to her now, yes out loud! She almost weighs a pound and is about 10-12 inches in total length, she's growing sooo fast! So amazing!

Prenatal Yoga

So on Sunday I had my first prenatal yoga class. It was 2 hours long but it flew by. It's amazing how standing in one pose for 20 seconds can really strengthen your muscles. My yoga guru's name is Sadhu AKA Scott (ha!). He's an "earthy" little man but very knowledgeable. I had a great time and I'm a wee bit sore today, but its not the typical "I just worked out at the gym sore". It feels good. I think I've talked Kevin into coming with me next week (its a private session) So no he wont be in a room with 20 pregnant chicks. I always want to laugh at "that guy" who takes aerobics in a class filled with 20 women...ha...anyway I think he'll enjoy it. I'm hoping all this strengthening and stretching will help me with an easier pregnancy and labor.

16 weeks Baby Bump Photos!

Helllllo Everyone! We've passed another major milestone we're officially 4 months prego! It's been an amazing ride so far, and there is so much more to come. The last few weeks have been great I've been a shopaholic buying everything in sight that has pink on it. I just can't resist! I've felt her first little kicks in my belly this past week too! I usually feel it right after I lay down, they are the cutest little flutters. At least they are now, Im sure they will get pretty interesting in the months to come. Here are my bump photos I can't tell if I look that much bigger or if I just feel like it. I had to make a change in outfit because fall is fast approaching and I get pretty cold at night. I'll try to stay in this outfit for as long as I can for comparison. Kevin decided to take a photo of himself while he was playing photographer, I think its cute especially with Marley in the background on the bed of course! Who needs toss pillows when you have a big fluffy dog who never leaves?

Savannah's First Photo Shoot!

Hello Everyone! As promised here are Savannah's first photos! I just love them all (of course Im a wee bit prejudice) My favorites are the ones where she's playing with her feet. They are sooo cute!

As most of you know my mom was in town for the first ultrasound...I'm attaching a photo of her closet...This is what happens when grandma comes to town! Savannah's closet is almost full! She wont have a shortage of pink outfits. We had a blast shopping for everything! We were actually able to register for everything too! It was soo much fun! We even laid out Savannahs room and where all her furniture would go. I couldn't have done it all without my mom! Grandpa Ed also bought Savannah her first bouquet of roses!

Hello everyone! We just got back from the gender ultrasound! Its a baby GIRL! Savannah Nicole! I'll post pictures on Monday. We have about 20 of them! She was sooo cute, playing with her feet, waving her hands, and crossing her legs. She was so stubborn we almost didn't get to find out what it was! I'll post more on Monday!

Kevin and Marissa's Wedding-Huntington Beach

We had a wonderful time in So Cal for Kevin and Marissa's wedding! It was a whirlwind weekend as usual but it was great to see everyone. We flew into LA and stayed with my aunt Gina and Terry (I got my Jack in the Box fix YUM!), we had brunch with Vanessa, Jason, and little Maya. And then we met my mom, Ed, Daniel, and Micheal for lunch in Manhattan Beach. I was able to spend some time with my Grandma, and squeeze in a prenatal massage (which was heavenly!) We really had a great time! My sister and her hubby Gabe came to the wedding which was great!Here are some fun pics from the wedding.
