Calhoun Football Program! GO Jackets!

The Calhoun Yellow Jackets Football team puts out a program every year that's for purchase at the games and throughout the fall. Many of the players and their fams buy pages as ads or just to express their love to their kids. Cedar Hill Lake (Thanks Rick and Christi) bought a page in the program and Andy ( andybaxterphotography.com if you didn't know about how amazing he is already!) Came and took pics of JT, Molly, Taylor, Adam, and Savannah. All in their Yellow Jacket outfits and uniforms. We got Savannah the cutest cheer outfit! The big kids were just precious with Savannah and I can't wait to see the fully edited pics. Christi snapped a few on her phone so I thought I'd post those to share! JT (Highly sought after receiver) is number 3 (Senior) and Adam (Junior #1 kicker in the nation, already offered full rides to Alabama, Tennesse, and LSU is 99)! I'll post the rest of the pics as soon as we get them!

Nana 5 Minutes ok?

Savannah had another visit this past weekend! Nana came to visit YAY! She was in New Hampshire for a family reunion and had to be back in Washington DC on Monday so we lucked out and she flew south for the weekend! It's always great to have my mommy time and Savvy sure loves her Nana! My mom stuffed us to the gills with her great cooking and we did lots of swimming. I was so proud of Savannahs swimming skills so I couldn't wait to show my mom all she could do in the pool! It was a super hot weekend (not a shocker since that's the norm in July) so we spent most our time floating in the pool. Since it was such a hot weekend we went for Ice Cream at Brusters...YUM! Did you know you get a free cone if you're under 38"??? Complete with sprinkles??? How cool is that? It was the perfect ending to a perfect day! The 5 min title has a funny story behind it. Savannah is in the phase where EVERYTHING has to be her idea, no matter what it is. She especially doesn't like having to take a nap. So my mom thought of the great idea to set the timer and when the timer would go off Savannah would be able to know it was "time" to do whatever it is we want her to do. So my mom would say "ok 5 min and when the timer goes beep-beep your time is up ok?" This worked like a charm and Savannah would pop right up and head to her room. This 5 min phrase took off and everything she does now is "5 min ok?" its hilarious! I recorded her saying this and it's now my moms ringtone! ha ha! The visits are never long enough and I wish we had them more often but we really made the most of our time. We can't wait for Nana to come back in October!!! We also made muffins for our breakfast one night which was very fun. Savannah is quite the chef, she loves to stir and add in the ingredients...such a fantastic helper. Daddy snapped a cute pic of her excitement while cooking. Love to all and hope you had a great weekend!

Fireworks and Family!

This is gonna be a doozy of a post when it comes to the pics so I apologize in advance! I have WAY too many cute pics from our 4th of July weekend. Baba, Meme, and Hunter came to visit for the long weekend! We stayed very busy swimming, visiting the Children's Discovery Museum in Chattanooga, TN, and celebrating the 4th at Rick and Christi's lakehouse . Hunter is such a good boy and him and Savannah had a ball! She loved having a playmate to run around with. They really bonded this trip! It was so wonderful to have everyone around us to celebrate our country's independence! Hunter was really able to get a taste of the south. He fished, rode on the Polaris, played corn hole, ran through sprinklers, caught fire flies, and lit off fireworks. He can't wait to come back next summer! We had a great 4th of July as you can see from our pics! Enjoy!
