Little Models

Andy Baxter and Hanna Dean AKA Baxter|Dean did a kids "JCrew" photo shoot for promo material. Being the amazing Photog and Makeup artists they are (and with a little help from some super cute kiddos) we had a FAB photo shoot. Check out the cuties below.

Tricks and Treats and Princesses can smell my FEET!

Having kiddos lets you experience Holidays in new ways. Through their eyes you get excited again and love to watch them experience all the fun things you did as a kid. I for one just LOVE Halloween. I think I've instilled that in my kidlets and Savannah was equally excited to Trick or Treat this year. Finally old enough to understand and care it was so fun! We went over to the Evans house and walked around their neighborhood. We ended with a fire pit and some delish Jambalaya. Savannah was so cute trick or treating making sure to say Thank You for each treat and little E laid back in the stroller and ate some of the "healthier" snacks we were given....if cheese poofs are healthy?

While we were treating with a group of friends there were several princesses all dressed up for Halloween. Kevin asked Savannah "when will you be a princess for Halloween?" Savannah said emphatically.."I'll NEVER be a princess for Halloween!" Then she turned to her friend Mari and said "why do you like princesses so much?" and Mari said "because they are pretty!"...Savannah wasn't entertained with that and said "they are so boring!" Ahhh our little Tomboy! I swear we love watching her emerging personality. She will be one force to be reckoned with that girl!! I don't know where she gets it ;)

Don't you love his Jail Bird Costume? I love the tatoos they say "I Love Mom" and "Binky for Life" So cute!

Long lines at the houses!
Let's get this show on the road!

we had a fun Halloween until Easton threw up the minute we got home. The darn stomach bug has attacked the kids...all better now but WHEW that wasn't fun at all!

Lucy the Lime Lizard

We had the prestigous honor to bring home Lucy the Lime Lizard class mascot! She's a Chinese water dragon and a very cool little lizard. I have zero experience with reptiles so this was new to me. She was quite easy. chomping on the two dozen crickets we bought her or relaxing under her heat lamp. The kids had a lot of fun checking her out, squirting her with her water bottle, or feeding her crickets. We were sad to bring her back on Monday after a long weekend of fun but it was time for her to go back to her favorite class and for another kiddo to bring her home for the weekend. Here are some pics from our weekend.

Can you see her in here? She's blending!

Silly Goose!

I wanted to tell you a little more about our new furbaby Goose. He honestly fits right into the family seamlessly. From day one he was very at ease. As we speak Savannah is in the yard playing fetch with him. He's just a lover, and boy does he love his family! We are so lucky to have this boy in our lives...SO lucky. Here are some pics of his first weeks with his forever family.

He's never far away from the action

He likes to "photo bomb" us

And he likes to cuddle. This morning Savannah was still sleeping and he provided a warm cushy foot rest for her.

His spot on the couch  right next to his momma
Butt Buddies :)

Love watching them play monster faces in the yard.

We love our Silly Goose! I hope you get to meet him soon!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Have I said I LOVE fall yet? From brisk mornings to sweet spicy smells, to leaves turning orange and red...I just LOVE IT! And of course Fall means pumpkins. We went to the great Adairsville Pumpkin patch to pick out our fave pumpkins to carve. Easton wanted one bigger than himself but we eventually settled on something more suitable that he could pick up. Savvy of course wanted every pumpkin in the patch!

A few weeks ago I saw the Marvel comics pumpkin carving kit and even though my fingers ached at the thought of carving a super hero into a giant sized pumpkin I bought it. I knew Savannah would just love it.
This one Dada?

Say Cheese...or not.

Pumpump as he called them.

Then on Saturday we went to the Apple Festival in Ellijay with my friend Tammy and the fam. Another main reason I love Fall...APPLES! I ate my way through all the apple foods. We bought a 1/2 a peck of apples (don't ask me how many that is its just a LOT!). I made Paula Deens APple Pie and YUMMMM-O it was good and fattening. Besides the copious amount of yellow jackets we had a great time, the weather was perfect.

And then we carved...

Ew mommy this is gross!

The finished product, after I cleaned the blood off of it.

Boots seem to be an obsession of little E's as of late. Even if they are huge pink cowboy looking rainboots.

And in other exciting news, MEET GOOSE! We felt like Lady needed a friend. She seemed depressed and sulky since loosing her best friends. So I filled out an application with the Atlanta Weimarener Rescue of Atlanta. Wow are they picky! We even had a house visit to make sure we were suitable owners. While she was there she showed us a photo of a very handsome Weim who may be surrendered because his family (military) was going to be stationed in Korea and they couldn't bring him. But they hadn't fully decided yet so we kept looking. We originally liked a dog named Brodhi who seemed like he'd fit our family well. His owner got pregnant with twins and surrendered him. Don't get me started...

He ended up getting adopted out so we were placed on a waiting list for a match. A new dog came available that seemed like an ok fit although he wasn't crate trained...eek. But we decided to go meet him anyway. The morning of the day to go meet him when I woke up there was a voicemail from the agency saying that Gooses family had decided the best thing was to surrender him but only to us. I guess Amy at the agency told Gooses family all about us. It was love at first lick and head between my legs. My silly goose and CRAZY eyed mommy lover is below. I'm in love...

Goosey!
This boy will fetch until he collapses with the ball in his mouth.
Top down weather!

She's a great chef!

Such a great week in review!

Hope your fall is as great as ours has been!
