Stingers!

Before I get to the tball I want to say that Savannahs playground is officially open for business! On Saturday morning my girl and I took Daddy's truck (which I still cannot drive worth a darn...I had to make a 20 point turn in starbucks...he he) to get a truck bed full of mulch. She loved watching the tractor dump it in and we headed home to start the task of spreading it. Kevin (conveniently) had to take Savannah to her tennis lesson so I started on the huge job.  4 hours later, blistered, sore, sweaty...and dare I say proud. The playground was in tip top shape. I also scooped out all her old sand from her sandbox and filled it with 200lbs of new sand! Then that evening the Stengels came over for dinner and the kids played for over an hour with huge smiles...it made all my blood, sweat, and tears worth it.

I think Easton likes the swing!!

Now on to Stinger Tball! Last year was interesting, Savannah never really got into it and spent most games playing in the dirt. She liked to bat, but forget being in the field. But let me tell you...this year...huge difference. She had her game face on! She whacked the ball so hard at her second at bat that even the coaches on the other team said "whoa!". When she was in the field she went after the ball when it came near her and was so proud to get to it first! Go Savannah!

Look at her form....amazing!

Easton enjoyed watching his big sister! He'll be out there soon himself!

Cookies and Milk!

Last weekend we traveled to Augusta to celebrate two special boys birthdays! Brody and Luke had a combined party and it was SO cute! Brooke put it together so you knew it wasn't going to be shabby! We drove in Saturday morning and spent the day Saturday playing with the kids and taking a stroll along the canal and checking out the Savannah river while drinking some really neat craft beers at the "chicken and beer" festival. Sunday the kids had their party and Savannah and Easton had a ton of fun with the other kiddos! Savannah was so pooped after the party that she fell asleep in the car on the way home with the flute favor in her mouth...you know that was a good party! Always so great to spend time with our great friends!

Milk cap stamp craft! How cute!

Happy Birthday Brody and Luke!!!

Tball time its time for a Homerun...or more like playing in the dirt!

It's Tball Season #2! Kevin is coaching yet again. No he didn't learn his lesson his first time...kidding. Coaching 3-4 yr olds how to play tball is SO fun...ha! Savannah LOVES playing tball in the yard...yet when we get out on the field with all the kids she's is so distracted and goofy its quite comical. Check it out.
hey mom! I made it to first base!

Apparently running the bases one time totally took it out of her??? HA!

Bring it home SAVVY!

Our Baby boy is 1!!

Seriously...our little man is 1? Oh man what a year it has been. Our chunky monkey has totally changed my (our) lives for the better. He's SO cuddly...not like Savvy wasn't as a baby...she was just always on the move...onto something more exciting. And when it came to bedtime...she'd listen to a story but never wanted to rock more than a few minutes. She'd eventually point at her bed...and basically motion...put me down and get out. It used to crack us up. Well Easton would let you rock him all night, or better yet bring him in your bed. Snuggle bunny to the fullest. He loves to lay his head down on your shoulder and just be loved. He's one hunk of boy too...I can't wait to see what the Dr. says for his 1 year stats. My money is on 100th percentile again. He's a Chubber! LOVE IT!  He is still cruising around on furniture, and scooting like a circus act. He crawls for like a milisecond and then goes back to scooting. People think he's hilarious! He eats like a champ and sleeps like a champ. He's really become the easiest boy ever! Obvi the San Diego Padre shirts are our faves...he he. Here are some recent pics of our little man.

I could just EAT HIM UP!
HAPPY 1st Birthday Easton Mommy loves you to pieces! You have shown me so much in the past year...Mommys boy has a new meaning and you melt my heart every day! Thank you for being so sweet and for the true pure joy you've brought into my life. I am so blessed.

XOXOXOXO

Shiver me Timbers Savannah is 4 and Easton is 1!

OK so I'm not going to lie...I've been playing this party for probably 9 months. I knew right away that I wanted to do a joint party for the kids and when I came across an amazing deal on the Pirate costumes the plan was set in motion. I asked savvy if she wanted to do a "Pirates and Princesses" Party, but she quickly told me that she didn't want to be a Princess...she wanted to be a Pirate! Her love of pirates grew as we talked up her party, she started to talk like one, wear an eye patch, and of course sport a sword. Easton was of course up for whatever would involve food and entertainment.

I made all the games with help from Pinterest and my pirate buddy Savannah. Each game had a different prize for the kids that was pirate themed.

We had the BEST weather on the day of the party that I decided to move everything outside to a deck area that actually looked very Pirate-esque! It was a tad windy but the weather itself was amazing, the kids loved being outside and took advantage of the whole place to play and run.
Every Pirate put on a costume with hat/headband and eye patch...ARGHH!

This is before everyone got there...

Cupcake Cake ARGHH MATEY!

The dig for treasure game was the hit...I think at one time there were 8 kids in the sand box!

Decorate a Treasure Chest!

Walk the Plank Matey!

Part decor...Part gift. Every kid enjoyed playing with the new pirate ship!

Happy Birthday to You!

Uh oh...man down!

Grandpa came in with a replacement...phew!
I dont think E knew what to think about the frosting...

Presents! She didn't even want to finish opening them because she wanted to go back and play with her friends in the sand...I think that means it was a fun party!

I love kid parties where ALL the kids help open...cracks me up!

Easton is getting very sleepy!

How many kids can you get in a tiny plastic swimming pool?

Nana and her swashbuckling pal Captain Savannah!

It was such a fun day, Savannah had a great turn out with over 15 of her closest pals! She had so much fun, and when asked what her fave part was she said the cake...HA! Thanks so much to my Mom and Ed, and Ani for helping me put it all together! And of course Daddy for keeping my pirate pals entertained until party time so we could get everything set up!

I still have to update about our big man E and his big 1 year birthday! Pics and post to come!

Love,
The Palmers
