Easter Party at School and 1st Tball Practice

It's been a busy week..not just because we have a new baby in the house but because Savannah has had a lot going on. This girls social calendar is packed full! She really keeps us busy! On Wednesday she had her Easter party in school. I love watching all the kiddos get excited when they walk in and see that their parents are there! Easton sported his Easter hat to the party! Isn't he the cutest bunny? After the kids ate their fun lunch and then they had an egg hunt. The kids are so cute when they get excited, they burst into the room and were all over hunting those eggs! Savannah was ecstatic because she found the "golden" egg. After an extreme sugar high Savannah kissed and hugged all her buddies goodbye and we headed home.

On Friday Savannah had her 1st T-ball practice! Kevin is coaching so we've been practicing our batting and were all set for the first practice. Well our gorgeous weather left us that day and it was FREEZING. Savannah wasn't into it for the first 10 minutes but finally she got into the swing of things and it was cute to watch them all run in the wrong direction, stare at the clouds, or run after the ball after they hit it. It just melts my heart when all the kids call Kevin "coach." They just love him and he's the best coach ever!

Easton had his first bath the other day. As you can see from the pictures, he just loved it...not. He cracks me up. How ticked off is he?

Aww mom really? I'm cold!

STOP THE MADNESS!
I'm still mad
ahhhhhhh momma
Have I mentioned how thankful I am that my mom is here? She's been an amazing help this week...cooking, taking care of the kids when I need a break, running errands, just everything! Wow I really could not do it without her. I'm amazed at how much work two kids really is!! It's amazing! Having 3 on 2 really makes it easier.

Easton is such a great baby. He's a really great sleeper. Immediately he was sleeping 3hrs and now he's had 4-5 hours in between feedings at night. Such a good boy! Everyday he seems to be awake a little bit longer just content checking out the world and all that goes on around him. We have a glider in our bathroom so he can lay there while we get ready. Savannah was helping with him this morning by singing to him. She knew all the songs it played and sat their quietly singing to him. Then she got her Woody doll and put on a show for him. She's a great big sister! When we were in Target yesterday he started to cry and she was quick to grab his paci and put it in his mouth. Even a lady walking by said "wow what a great big sister you are!" That made her smile so big! I love watching them interact it's just precious!!!

Enjoy our pics of the week!

Surprise Easter Bunny Sighting!

Today my mom, Savannah, Easton and I had our FIRST outing! Whew...going out with 2 kids is a LOT different than going out with one 3 year old! We only had to make two stops but one was at the mall so you know how that goes...The day went really well! Savannah was sooo good and little Easton was a breeze! I'm in love with our stroller which navigated the two way better than I would have hoped. AND...as you can see below the Easter Bunny was at the mall! Savannah was sooo excited to see him and so was Easton as you can tell! I just love this pic of them. Our two kiddos for the first time with the Easter Bunny! Isn't this the cutest picture EVER??? Love it.

My cup runneth over

Ok I know cheesy right? But seriously...the past few days this is all I can think about... How lucky we are to have these two beautiful kids...They are a dream come true. More than I could ever have asked for.

Here are the pics from us going home from the hospital. Savannah had her doll Easton in his car seat so you can see him in all the pics. She's the best big sister, giving him hugs and kisses and always making sure he has his paci! Doesn't he look tiny in his car seat??

And then there were 4

Let's get this party started!

Hello World!

April 15th 2011 our sweet Baby Easton was born! He weighed 8lbs 1oz and was super long at 21inches! We got to the hospital around 8:30 and were quickly admitted to the pre-op room. I was much less nervous this time but was definetly anxious to meet the little man. After all my pre-op work we were moved into a recovery room where I'd wait for the Dr and get moved to the OR. They brought me into the OR and after I was all prepped and feeling nauseous in anticipation of the spinal they realized they didn't have my lab work back from the morning. So we paused and waited for them...5 min later they realized they LOST the bloodwork. Seriously. So we had to go back into the recovery room and they had to redraw my blood...and then wait for the results. They were great and upgraded us to a "plus" room at no charge which we were already planning on using. So that was an exciting bonus! Not long after we were back in the OR and they were ready to pull baby Easton out!

I couldn't hold back my tears of joy when they held him over the sheet.  I simply can't believe how handsome he is and how much he looks like his daddy. He has a good amount of hair on his head and blue eyes. He's been a breeze so far napping for 3-4 hour intervals in between feedings. Nursing great, and when he isn't snoozing or pooping, he's laying there content just checking out the world. I am so in love with this little boy. I didn't think I could love another person as much as I do Savannah (and her daddy of course) but from the second I laid eyes on my little prince I knew I could and I do. This sweet boy locks eyes with me and I'm in a daze. I could lay holding him all day. Enjoy our pics from Eastons first day in the world and him meeting his Big Sister!
