The weekend before memorial day we went to Disney World with Nana, Aunt Stacy, and Savannah's cousin Zoe. This is the 3rd trip of this kind, and I hope to share 100 more! The first was in 1986, second was in 2007 right before I got preggers with Savvy, and now this one with the kiddos! It was so much fun! We stayed at this AMAZING resort on the Epcot grounds. It was called the Boardwalk villas, and man it was great! We had a full kitchen, living room, jacuzzi tub...the works. The best part was a full playground, a kiddie pool, and a HUGE water slide were right outside our door! After a long day in the heat at the parks the pool was just what the dr ordered! We also had a great patio that linked the two rooms so Stacy, Mom, and I were able to sit outside and enjoy some wine while the kiddos snoozed. I love my girl time!
The first day that we flew in we went to Epcot. It was fun to show the girls all my favorite parts. Savannah got to play in some fun fountains and Zoe went on lots of rides. We all got to go on the Nemo ride which made Savannah very excited! There was also a 3D movie that simulated a tornado. We weren't sure what Savannah would think of that so we sat near the exit...ummm she screamed "MORE" when it was over. It sprayed us with water, there was a ton of thunder and lightning and my kid wanted "MORE". HA! I'm not a fan of storms so she gets that from her daddy! She finally konked out and we got a funny picture of Donald Duck peeking at her in her stroller. How silly is that? We finished the day with dinner on the boardwalk outside complete with fireworks!
Being the cheeseball I am I got the girls matching outfits with Minnies heads on them of course. The next day we went to the Magic Kingdom! Holy Moly was it crowded! We couldn't believe how many people they can fit in that place. We were able to get some fast passes and rode some really fun rides! I think Savannahs favorite part was the parades. I'm surprised her hand didn't fall off from waving for the entire thing. It's a small world was so cool, Savannah really enjoyed that ride too! I loved that she was able to go on so many rides! That night we went to see the light/fire/water show at Epcot. WOW that was NEATO! It changes all the time and I think they out do themselves each time!
The next day we went to Animal Kingdom which is kind of like a Zoo/Theme Park. It was probably my fave! The safari ride was super cool, I couldn't believe how close we got to the animals. We saw a "Bug's Life" 3D movie there. Savannah was loving it until they "sprayed" us with bugspray which fogged the theater completely...she was in my lap in a milisecond screaming lol! As soon as it went away she was cool...then we got "stung" by a stinger in our seat. Again she flew back into my lap. She ended up happy but it was hard not to crack up laughing through the whole thing. That night we went to Disney Studios to eat dinner and walk around. We stumbled upon this goofy cover band who Savannah thought she was their missing member. She promptly got out on their stage and starting dancing with them. Check out the pics...they loved her!
As you can see we had a BLAST...it's never long enough. Zoe and Savannah got along wonderfully Zoe is the best helper. Such a sweet girl, I wish we could all get together more often. We can't wait for the next girls weekend!!! Mom/Nana thanks for making this happen, I can't tell you how much we enjoyed it! It's definitely one of those memories that will stand out forever!! We love you!
I also added some pics below of our newest addition to the family...NEMO! He's a crowntailed Beta and is a very active lil guy. Savannah loves to feed him, and draw pictures of him. I'm still not sure why I added another mouth to feed, but its fun for her.
Enjoy the last few weeks in pics!
Love, The Palmers
