Dancing to Kansas

Savannah has become quite the dancer in the past two months. I have to admit watching the class can be painful. It looks more like organized chaos at times and I wonder what the heck the recital will look like come May of next year. Although this week we saw a major break through! Savannah watched and followed along with the entire pom pom routine! I was in shock! It was really cute! She seems to be getting the moves more and more and I can see a routine coming together. The first week the instructor tried to get the kids to hold onto eachothers shoulders and walk in a circle...lets just say they didnt make it a step before one kid broke the chain. And just last week they were able to walk around the room. Something that seems so simple can be excruciating to watch with a group of 20 2-3 yr olds. I admire the teachers for their energy, and most of all patience! I took the first two pics when we got home from dance. She wanted to share her dance poses!

Then on Wednesday Toto (I mean Margo) came over to take our Halloween pics! Dorothy (I mean Savannah) was such a ham in her costume and really enjoyed being Dorothy for the afternoon. We even had a yellow brick road which I learned kinda consumed her ruby slippers so we had to relocate to her...John Deere? Well ya...of course! I mean if Dorothy was in Kansas in 2010 she'd have a John Deere!! Check out the pics below! The last one Toto the Diva had decided she was done with the photo shoot and was making a break for it!! It was a love/hate relationship throughout the shoot. You can probably tell who had the hate. J/k we decided we need to put Savannah and Margo in counseling after their traumatic afternoon so they can rekindle the love they once had.  Lol.

Ch-Ch-Ch-CHANGES!!!

Savannah started Preschool last Wednesday the 1st of September. I was so excited for her to experience playing with friends in her new classroom! She's going to Anne Jones Memorial Preschool at the First Baptist church downtown. We had an orientation the week before and I had such a great feeling about the teachers and the school! Each month there is a shape, color, proverb, and theme! This month the shape is a circle, color is Yellow, Proverb has something to do with "God Made Me" (mom's still learning here...), and theme is "On the Farm". How cute is that? We got a little calendar that shows what's going on each day. Last Wednesday they all wore yellow, next week is "dress like a farmer" day...catch my drift? I just love it! I've already signed up to help with the Halloween party and Valentines day party!! I totally remember my preschool days...I loved it! I snapped a gazillion pictures as we were getting in the car headed to her very first day of Preschool. She found a leaf on the sidewalk on the way to the car, she got quite distracted by it as you can see. I snapped some pics as we hugged her goodbye and couldn't resist snapping some as she got acquainted with her new classmates. Isn't her classroom cute? She sits at the little table to the right. When we were getting ready to leave we were telling her goodbye and she goes "where are you going?" and we told her we had to go to work, but we'd be back at lunch time. She said "ok bye!" and walked away. No separation anxiety from this little girl. In fact on Wednesday she went into class and there was a little girl crying because her mom had just left. Savannah went over, sat down next to her, grabbed her hand and told her "it's going to be ok!" Isn't that sweet? My little girl has such a big heart. I love her to pieces! So lots of changes going on with this little girl. She just loves school, Kindermusik, and dance. We love watching her grow and experience new things every day. She's just a joy to be around!

Oh and another big change in the Palmer house!

Farm Animals and Yellow Jackets

Last weekend we attended Jack Dean's 2nd Birthday party! As you can see it was a Cowboy/Cowgirl party complete with Hayride, Petting zoo, and Pony Rides! We had a blast petting all the sweet animals and loved seeing Jack enjoy his party! I think her favorite part was the baby chickens...or maybe the ice cream? It was a toss up!

This past Friday (our 4 year Anniversary!!) we went to the first home Calhoun Yellow Jacket Football game! Adam and JT played great and we killed them 42-0! They passed out the Football programs for this year and the Palmer kids have a great ad in it! I took a picture of that below. Aren't they precious??

This has been such a beautiful autumn weekend! We've had crisp fall air in the mornings and beautiful breezes in the afternoon. I've wanted to spend every moment outside! So I did just that...I moved her high chair outside so we could enjoy the sunshine while we ate our lunch! I think she liked it! Boss did too!

Hope you've all had a great long Labor day weekend!!
