Savannah made the trek to Athens for her very first (well...first outside the womb...remember one of my very first posts?? 11 weeks prego at the game...SO NOT FUN FOR MOMMY!) Georgia game! (FYI we killed em'....gooooooo dawgs.....Sic Em'...wooof wooof wooof!) Ok sorry had to get that out of my system. Savannah and I stuck it out in the shade at the tailgate while Dad and Adam went in the game. So I didn't get to do my favorite cheer :( but we did have LOTS of fun! Brooke, and Brody came, even though Brooke totally sprained her ankle. But she's a trooper and with help from her amazing sister Shelly she came! It was a steaming 92 degrees...but we made it fun by staying the shade and keeping fans and cool towels on the babies. I just love all their adorable Georgia outfits, and of course the "love" shots. Savannah is wayyy more interested in Brody than he is into her. She even tried to kiss him at one point. So cute! We love little Brody so much, he's such a handsome boy! Kevin and I found ourselves holding him thinking...hmmm we'd like a little boy. UH OH! Don't worry, no time soon folks. Im enjoying my much needed non-prego freedom. PLUS Im in my Bestest friend ever Kendalls wedding in May and she'd KILL me ha ha ha! Love you Kendicles! No worries here! Thought I'd give you a little heart attack. We also shared our 2nd...YES 2nd anniversary this weekend. SO special considering we've made the opening game a tradition. Kevin surprised me with the SWEETEST gift EVERRR. Many of you know Brooke is an AMAZING artist. She drew the pic on the "save the date" cards and she drew the pic on our wedding invites. Anyway, everytime I go to their house they have this fab painting of the two of them at their first dance in black paint, in shadow, just freaking beautiful. And I can't help but say everytime how obsessed I am with it. Well Kevin is such an amazing husband, and totally picked up on it. He asked Brooke to paint one of us...and she did...and now I'm obsessed with our very own painting from our first dance! I love love love it!

Milestones for the week include Savvy sitting up all the time (with help), she can't stand it to be on her back she tries so hard to curl up and sit. She loves sitting in her stroller playing with the toy bar. She's on to eating peas as of today and she seemed to think those were ok. Here are some pics from the weekend.
Happy Labor Day!
Love to all! The Palmer

Sweet Potato Princess

What is this green stuff?
Ew! Take it away!
Mmm Sweet taters off my fingers!
I'm so full!
Yes we tried sweet taters and guess what? She LOVED them...we think our little girl will be an eater. Just like her mama! We also tried Avocados and well...those didn't go over too well. She made the funniest face like, "bleccchh" are you trying to poison me? Here are some pics of the event. You might wonder WHY i let her get so messy with food up her nose and in her armpits. I ask myself that very same question. I used to look at pics of people's messy babies and think "I'll never let my child be like that." HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAA!

Need I say more? You try to feed a persistant "I can do it myself/independent/my way or the highway/ and I'm only 5 months old, little spit fire (once again like her mama)" She's all over that spoon and before you know it, its everywhere. But I try to tell myself as she sucks it off her hands, she actually eating more. Otherwise that would just dribble down her bib and never be eaten. Riiiight, the things you talk yourself into so you'll feel better!

Enjoy!

We love our new Power Wheels!
Mmmm Nanners!
Why'd you stop?
Banana Face!
Open up!
I can hold my own spoon, Thank You very much!

We had a WONDERFUL weekend! One of those that passes too fast. We celebrated the upcoming wedding of our good friends Rocky and Kim on Sat. by throwing them a shower with some other great friends. We had a blast, so great to see everyone together. On Sunday we went to Max and Rex's fishing party where they celebrated turning 2! They are such handsome boys...and so happy with their new jeep power wheels car! We were lucky the residual hurricane held out for us, and we enjoyed both parties outside at Greers parents lake house. What an amazing place!

On another fun note Savannah tried Bananas on Sunday morning! And wow, she loved them! She just wasn't into the plain rice cereal but you add bananas to it and she cant have enough. She chowed the entire bowl! We can tell this will be one of her favorites! Enjoy the pics of the weekend.

Much Love,

My shirt says "American by birth, Georgia Bulldog by the Grace of God! GOOO DAWGS!"
I want your hand AND my foot in my mouth!
I like this pink blanket, but don't tell anyone!

I might be 2 months younger but I'm bigger!!!

We went south this past weekend to Augusta! Surprise! We love visiting our great friends Brooke, Adam, and their happy beautiful baby Brody! So we go a lot as you might notice...I actually had a state tennis tourney down there and was so excited it ended up being in Augusta. We were lucky enough to be able to spend a lot of QT with them, and we even traded babysitting duties! Brooke watched both babies alont (and swore Savannah was good!). I was lucky to have Kevins help! Although it was Savannah that was the handful! We took some cute videos of the babies playing! Brody moves all the time, he's so cute! You can see that in the video. I think they look so cute together! Here are some cute vids and pics of the trip below!!

Brody and Savannah I

Brody and Savannah II (he's still going 2 hrs later!!!)

This video is of Savannah making scary noises. I was putting her to bed, the reason why she's swaddled and laying on the floor...and she wasn't done telling me a story a scary one based on those noises!! So I grabbed the cam and caught the end of it. Pretty good story huh??

I love my pups!

How cute is this? I was waiting for them to bond...and all the sudden I caught this. Totally the cutest thing ever!!!

The first video is of Marley and Savannah. The more Marley wags her tail the more Savannah cracks up! Priceless...

This is of Lady, Marley, and Boss. Lady wants to lick Savannah all over. She's looking for food morsels. Savannah has a huge grin although its hard to tell from the angle.

Little Moments...

I think this picture explains itself...but as I sat and watched Kevin read to his little girl tonight I got tears in my eyes. Watching him be so sweet, goofy, and gentle makes me love him in a whole new way. Life is all about little moments like this.

Savannah is 4 1/2 Months Old!

Savannah had her "well baby check-up" today! She weighs in a 13lbs (50th percentile) and 25 1/2 Inches (90th percentile)!! Dr. Cindy said she wishes she'd started out life long skinny and lean like Savannah! Don't we all? She said between Kevin and I, Savannah will def. be a tall one! She did several checks to make sure she was progressing along developmentally and she passed with flying colors (I'm such a bragging mommy, but I can't help it!). What really cracked me up is that two days ago Savannah finally started to want to bear weight on her legs which is one big check mark on the page for the doctors...so today she did great. She cut it close! Good Job Savvy! Savannah has been DYING to eat lately and I say that with total scencerity! She wants to grab the spoon or fork when I'm eating and she's always interested in what I'm eating. So the Dr. felt along with some other benchmarks she was def. ready to start on solid food! Yay! Rice cereal on the way!

Everything is going wonderful here in the south! Hoping it starts to cool off soon, this 90+ degree weather is getting old. We have a month worth of BUSY BUSY weekends ahead of us so the posts might not be as plentiful as usual. This weekend we have a bachelor/bachelorette party in ATL for Rocky and Kim, the weekend after that we're in Augusta, Ga (staying with Adam, Brody, and Brooke YAY!!) where I play in my mixed league state tennis tournament, the weekend after that we're throwing a fiesta wedding shower for Rocky & Kim, finally a break the weekend after that, then my mom comes into town (BIG YAY!) ...Rocky and Kims wedding, then my mom, Savvy and I travel to NY while I work the NY market for work for 4 days...then....complete and utter fatigue. Just kidding, we love it! Bring it on!

Love,
The Palmer Fam

Movin' on up...upstairs that is

YES we did it. Savannah spent her first night in her very own crib last night. I had to prepare daddy for the event, giving him a countdown (for the record I was ready last Monday). We did her usual nighttime routine with some added bonuses. Kevin thought it was like a spa because I had classical music on, and I had dimmed the lights while I gave her a gentle massage. Then we fed her (we shared the feeding) Kevin couldn't stand to not be a part of it...such a wonderful dad. Then it was time, I got her all swaddled up and laid her down. We put on BOTH monitors (one to monitor her breathing, the other a video monitor so we can see her from our bedside) and left the room begrudgingly. The walk to the bedroom was a long one, then we got into bed and stared at the monitor for 20 min. Watching her was kind of sad. She kept turning her head looking for us in the room, I admit it I got teary eyed. I totally had to fight the urge to run up and grab her. I eventually fell asleep after watching the monitor for a good solid hour. ONLY to wake up every 30 min to click it on "just to check". She never made a peep all night, and when Kevin got up to get the dogs at 6:30 Savannah had been laying in her crib peacefully playing all alone for who knows how long. So he grabbed her and brought her to bed with me so she could have "breakfast in bed". So I guess you can say we did ok...well I guess I have to admit Savannah did better than we did. Savannah is officially in her own room...tear....she's growing up so fast!
