These past few weeks have been great. I'm really enjoying the cool down as we transition into fall. The mornings are brisk and the evenings are simply gorgeous !

On a fun note of milestones...Savvy is sitting unsupported! Not all the time..but she's getting so good. She gets sidetracked and like a ton of bricks she goes crashing down! I have to make sure I stay near to catch the falling baby! But she's getting the hang of it, and does it more and more everyday!

We stopped swaddling Friday night...wow. I wanted to stop doing it on a weekend with the anticipation of little sleep. Boy was I right on. Friday night she awoke every 2 hrs...Saturday night every 3...Sunday every 3-4...and Monday every 4-5. We're def. making progress! She gets a little freaked when her arms are lose to flail and she whips herself around her crib. I watch her on the monitor and crack up. She's like a little acrobat in there. She loves to burrow her face in the bumper so thank god for the angel care monitor!! But Im confident by the end of the week she'll be back to her old sleeper self. She's already mastered her 3-4 hr naps...we just need to get bedtime back to normal.

Well the mama-razzi couldn't resist posting these videos.

This is of Savannah and Daddy in the bath (yes he's wearing a bathing suit). She just kicks and plays! She loves it so much. You get wet just being an innocent bystander! I call her our little "guppie". Pretty sure I was called that when I was little. She just loves the water. She gets fascinated by the bubbles, and then when we turn on the jets she's totally mesmorized! Kevin has a smile on his face the entire time, such a great daddy!


This is my little ball of sunshine in the morning. She's so happy and smiley! My fave part is when she freaks when I turn on the light (which took me awhile in my own morning stupor). She's like a vampire...Noooo light! ha ha! But then her eyes adjust and she's like "hey mommy!" such an amazing happy little girl! Notice how she starts to "play the savannah" on her mouth. She does that all day!

I wanted to post some cute vids from the trip.

We had a lovely dinner with KK, Alyssa, and Hunt. This is Savannah flirting with Hunt... Alyssa didnt put Savannah down! It was so great to see all of them!



This is Nana and Savannah playing on the bed, Savannah gets all excited and flaps her hands up and down and takes really quick deep breaths! Its super cute...she was so wound up before bed but we couldn't resist her cuteness!



This one might be my fave (for the moment...) She does this head and leg lift thing, its so weird. SO we call it "yoga" whenever she does it. That girl sure has six pack abs! Then she started to get excited and eat the camera.


Ok NO wait this is my fave (tee hee, I can't pick!)This is Savvys new thing, we call it "playing the Savannah". And wouldn't you know she's taught herself how to do it! (those videos coming soon) She's sooo smart! Don't you love her glow in the dark skeleton pjs? Thanks Aunt Christina, Cousin Hunter, and Cousin Bennett! I love them!!

We're back from the Big Apple! What a fun trip!! I have a serious new perspective of the place now that I was there with my 5 1/2 month old daughter. 1. the city hates strollers. Trying to find a restaurant that is big enough is only part of the challenge. Most places make a scrunched up face at you when they see your "not so city-slicker" Bigger than crap stroller (what can I say I live in the south and we have SPACE) THEN...there are like zero elevators, or ones that work. We had a very "fun" time trying to maneuver the stroller on the subway. Lets just say there was some incident where we needed to go over to another track...ha! Not so easy with 2 out of order elevators. My mom and I got real buff carrying the stupid stroller up and down stairs. 2. Hotel rooms get verrrrry small with 2 beds, 1 pak n'play, 1 car seat, 1 stroller, 3 suitcases, you get the picture. 3. I still love the city, central park was so neat. I just loved showing Savannah the big city! We watched people fish in the lake, and the sunset was so pretty over the Natural History Museum. We're back in Calhoun now, enjoying the weekend before my mom heads back west! Its been so great to have her here! Savannah knows her Nana very well now! Enjoy the pics!

Here are some new fun videos of Savvy girl...she's finally figured out her doorway bouncy. Its so funny! We couldn't stop laughing at first. She would hang there before, now she's found if she alternates feet it makes her bounce! She really gets going...soo funny!

Then I realized it would help if I put the dining room lights on...


Savannah uses her teether and tries Cantaloupe....


She's also trying to get her knees under her and push up to crawl. She wants to move around so bad! I don't help by tempting her with her favorite toys...(those goofy things she's wearing are called Baby Legs...best invention by moms yet! You don't have to take the babys pants off to change a diaper and they protect their soft skin from rough floor.) Kevin calls them her 80's ballet leg warmers. I must admit they are kinda goofy.
