I just realized I'm in the 3rd trimester!!!! YAY! Home stretch here we come! I can't wait to meet you sweet Easton! You're officially kicking your mommas butt and I know that will continue for the next 18 years! You just spent the better part of 3 hours rearranging my internal organs and it was quite painful!

Straight A's and to the Park for a Picnic!

We had Savannahs first parent-teacher conference on Thursday! I have to admit I was sooo excited and anxious to hear what the teachers had to say about our little stinker. She'd already told us she'd sat in the time out chair at school, and I had to hear what that was all about. Turns out the little bug hadn't actually sat in time out at school at all, they said she was a quiet, well behaved girl, who minds great! Really? She's had her share of time outs at our house! I was so glad to hear that she is well behaved at school! They really take the testing serious at her school. There were three pages of items she was tested on and guess what? She received an A on each one! From hopping on one foot, knowing all her shapes and colors, to being asked if she was a boy or a girl. To which she replied "I'm a sister!" Awww that melts my heart! She was also asked to draw a straight line and a smiley face. They said her smiley face was the best they had seen! Her face was complete with eyes, a nose and a mouth! I was soo proud of our baby girl. We knew she was a smarty pants but its something else entirely to hear that from her teachers!

Today we had a wonderful surprise of warm weather! So last night while Savannah and I were laying in bed I asked her what she'd like to do today. She said she wanted to go to the park! So we planned our day to include a picnic with peanut butter and jelly, a soccer ball, and sunshine! When she woke up this morning that was the first thing out of her mouth! "Are we going to the yellow park??!!" We had fun packing our picnic lunch to include butterfly shaped PB&Js and headed to the yellow park! Wow the weather was fabulous and we had such a nice time eating our lunch and soaking up the sun. Then it was time to kick the soccer ball! Savannah loves to kick the ball, in fact it seems to be her favorite pass time lately! I sure hope she sticks with it! I'd love for her to be a soccer player! Then it was off to the playground. It was a great time, and now the little love is sleeping it off! Enjoy our photos!

Ohh and nursery progress! Mr. Handy aka Daddy put up the curtain rods, finials, and new curtains! We also were given 2 great vintage tennis racquets! They look awesome in Eastons room!! Nana has sent Easton some really great gifts too like a sleep sheep and his cradle bedding! Sooo exciting! Its really coming along!

Baby Easton in 3D

We were able to see our precious baby boy this morning! He looks so much like his daddy especially in his nose! His chubby face is so cute to see, so different from the slim face of Savannah. In some shots I see a strong resemblance to her and in others I don't. I can't wait to kiss his sweet face in person! I loved watching all of his facial expressions while we had our 30 min ultrasound. He had his hands around his face but luckily the crazy sugar drink I had before the ultrasound really got him moving.  Savannah, Mimi, and Grandad came to the ultrasound. Savannah didn't want much to do with it. But she found fun in holding on to my feet so "I didn't fall off the table."
And the sugar test....Thank goodness I passed the 3 hour glucose test so I don't have gestational diabetes. To all my mom friends to be out there...don't eat 2 doughnuts, 2 pieces of pizza, and a diet dr. pepper before your 1 hour glucose test ok? In fact don't do this when you're pregnant period. I had terrible heartburn! In my defense I was in a chamber meeting and I was held hostage to what they fed us...typical southern options tea or soda? Pizza with meat or without. Doughnut or chicken biscuit? I don't lie people this is the south. Anyway my Rhogam shot wasn't as terrible as I had remembered. Or maybe the lab ladies are right, child birth (I don't care how you have the baby) makes you a whole lot tougher. I can get needles sticks and shots with them best of them these days!

I actually lost a few pounds since my last appointment last week, go figure. And now I'm measuring 30 weeks when I'm only 28 weeks 3 days. He's going to be a chubber!
And we scheduled Easton's Birthday...unless of course he has other plans. We have a scheduled C Section for April 15th...no it's not Tax day this year. Tax day is the 18th this year! But yes he will most likely share his birthday with the dreaded day of taxes for most years! That's ok though we definitely wont be forgetting that day! I just can't wait to meet the little man!!!

Feeling Sporty!

 As promised here is the progress in the little man's nursery. Walls, lamp, and curtains are in process...

Lots of sports memorabilia from Baba! Signed Shawn Merriman Football, Trevor Hoffman Baseball, Ryan Klesko Baseball, and Sterling Hitchcock signed Padres hat! And don't forget the Georgia Football signed by all of Kevins groomsman and friends from our wedding!

Packed already!

 AND...we've been working on revamping the play area upstairs. With all the baby stuff moving back up from the basement we had to move some of the toys out of the living room. We have this great rarely used space upstairs and it makes the PERFECT play area! We had a blu ray installed an "tada!" a movie theather + playroom that makes Miss Savannah very happy! I bought matching shelves for Savannah and Easton. She knows one is Eastons but for now she doesn't have to worry about sharing! We still need to move the dog crates and some furniture to make more space on the other side of the fireplace for her Activity table. So it's still a work in progress! Doesn't she look all snuggly? She's watching her new favorite movie Toy Story 3!

 And I had to include the Boss-man stealing Savannah's chair. He thought it made a great dog bed...she DID NOT!

Bump-in!

Wanted to show you how Baby Easton is growing! Here we are at 27 weeks! Time sure does fly when you have a little one! I can't believe I'm almost 7 months! I had my check up yesterday and Eastons heartbeat sounds great. Unfortunately I failed my 1 hr glucose test for gestational diabetes which means I have to go back on Monday for a 3 hour test which includes a three day binge on sugar followed by a fast and 3 hours of blood draws. Yay me! I used to have a HUGE fear of needles but let me tell you all the poking and prodding you get when your prego will sure wean you of that mess. I'll also have to get my Rhogam shot which is not a fun one. See what I mean about the pokes? On the bright side we'll have our 3D ultrasound done that morning so we'll get some great pictures of the little man!! Can't wait to see what he looks like! The drs exact words as she was measuring my stomach yesterday were "oh my goodness he's long!"...if he's anything like his sister he'll be shattering the charts in length! He seems to still be head down which makes pregnancy very different. I must say a breech baby is MUCH easier to carry. Only 2 1/2 months to go though right?

Savannah started back at school today after a long hiatus due to sickness, snow, and holidays. I couldn't wait to pick her up today and take her to lunch to hear all about it. She's such a big girl, and the best lunch date a mom could ever have. She's getting so excited about her birthday party at the zoo she talks about it all the time! I got her the CUTEST custom outfit to wear in zebra print because she told me that's her favorite animal. I can't believe my baby will be 3 in March! 

Easton's nursery is taking shape so I'll take some pictures this weekend. We have a new rug, some new frames, and Kevin painted this cool end table which I love. It's looking pretty sporty in there! He's a very active little baby and likes to wake me up around 2am each morning doing a jig in my stomach. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night....preparation maybe?

Life Through her Eyes

One of the presents I was really excited to get for Savannah this year was a Kidizoom digital camera by Vtech. Savannah LOVES to see her pictures, loves me to take her picture, and I knew the two of these together would be a hit. Walmart happened to have a Black Friday special on this very cool camera and a friend of mine at work likes to brave those nut house crowds so she got one for us! Savannah took pics our entire trip in California and she has continued her photography profession back at home. I wanted to share some of the great pics she has taken since she took up her new hobby. Keep in mind this is everything from her point of view so some things are from about 36" down... he he. Some are a bit blurry its taken her a bit to get ahold of the camera. Mainly holding it still while shooting. And of course the photographer has some portaits of her self. She can't resist asking her subject to take a photo of her...so here you go.
