Savannah Banana is 3!

Savannah had quite the Birthday week! We decide to spread out the fun my letting her open a present every night. It was neat to get to see her enjoy each gift vs tear through them and move to the next. Her fave as you can see in this first picture was a Home Depot (kids version) of a chainsaw JUST LIKE DADDYS! Kevin chops all our wood and she loves to go outside and watch him. Now she has her very own safe version. Kevin couldnt resist getting his out for a photo op and then they went out in the rain to "cut some wood."

She also is obsessed at the moment with Toy Story 3. I think she has watched the movie 1000000 times. So we just knew Buzz Lightyear and Rex would be very exciting for her to get. She hasn't stopped playing with them since!

 On her real birthday we woke her up with a smiley face in pancakes singing Happy Birthday. She was a little confused at first but once she realized what was going on she was excited to blow out her candles!

That night the fam came over for dinner and cake to open MORE presents and extend the birthday fun! After a few hot dogs and a lot of funfetti cake she had one more surprise! Nana was here! She made it in time to see Savannah off to bed!

The next day we brought "3" cookies to Savannahs class! The kiddos sang to Savannah and all wished her a very Happy Birthday. We took a cute class picture and watch them bounce off the walls from a sugar high. It was precious.

On Saturday we had the Big 3 year olds Birthday at the Chattanooga zoo! The theme was pink, black, and white zebra and it all turned out super cute! Terrie from the chocolate drop did the cake and it was sooo yummy! They had a great party room with two awesome helpers who helped us set up everything and then took us on a private tour of the zoo! We saw gorillas, monkeys, jaguars, parrots, and some creepy reptiles. The tour guides took out the reptiles for the kids to pet and hold. This wasn't my favorite part, but Savannah seemed to really like it. When the tour guide said that the Ball Python was "fairly new" to the party room so she didn't want the kids near its head in case it would bite...um seriously? That quickly made me move Savannah across the room. I wasn't interested in seeing it bite her. 

Lastly we all took a ride on the carousel which all the kids seemed to love. 

All in all it was a great Birthday week! I can't believe our little baby girl is now 3! She's such a joy each day and cracks us up with the things she says. She's counting innate objects which blows me away, and has entered a whole new phase of being a picky eater. Everything is "yuck" which is quite funny since just a month ago broccolli was her favorite now its Yuck...this too shall pass.

She had her 3 year check up this week too and she was such a brave girl. She loves to play Doctor at home "fixing" her daddy and I and writing us prescriptions for lollipops. She barely cried when she got her two vaccines and was excited to go check out the treasure chest of prizes afterwards. She weighs 32lbs which is in the 50th percentile, and is 39inches which is in the 90th percentile. She's still tall and lean!
