I may be partial...but....

I swear he's the cutest darn kid everrrrrr! My little man is such a cutie pie. Always smiling, unless of course he's hungry which is often. We're on the track of weaning off formula and the bottle because next week COLD TURKEY, no more bottle, no more formula. YAY for Mommy and Daddy, probably not yay for Easton. He's a rolly polly still chowing down on every food I put on his tray and then slurping up a bottle. He could probably use a calorie reduction so the taking away of the bottle will be a good thing for the chunky monkey. He had kidney beans, chicken, corn, and carrots for dinner. A lot of them...love what a good eater he is. He has holes in all of his socks from scooting around everywhere and fits best in his 2T clothes.

On Friday night we got ready for Easter! Why? Well on Sunday morning we went down to the Atl airport to visit with Meme and Baba for their 4 hour layover. Always great to see them!! More pics of that to come! So we moved Easter up a day...good thing is neither kid noticed!

The next day after the chill wore off the Easter bunny decided to come! She ran outside to hunt those eggs!! Easton sat on a blanket and yelled to his sister who he calls "nanna" So cute!

She's so proud of her loot from the Easter bunny and Nana and Grandpa!

 On Sunday we had our annual brunch at Larry's house and hunted Eggs country style. The Easter bunny came too and she was able to dance and hang out with her!!

Birthday Week Continues!

 When I said we celebrate birthday week I wasn't kidding! It's an all week celebration. In Savannahs case it will actually draw out a little more because we are having her party 2 weeks after her real birthday. Sunday night is our usual Palmer fam dinner night so the Sunday after Savannahs real birthday we had the family over to celebrate! She requested a Strawberry cake with Strawberry icing. I had never made a two layer cake but I made an attempt and I think it turned out well! I must say it was SUPER delicious it was totally devoured and we had a fun time eating and opening presents with the fam.

How is it that Savannah is 4?? I know it sounds silly but I'm torn with total admiration and awe of this witty, sassy as can be, intuitive, silly little girl, and sadness that my baby girl is actually 4. No more babyhood, no more toddler hood...she's a batman toting, weather woman, bug hunting, not scared of anything (but maybe the rain), human body memorizing (I'll get to this later), amazing big sister who is going into Pre-K next school year! AGHH! Let me take you through what she's into now because she cracks us up daily.

She loves the weather, everyday she tells us what the weather is (cloudy, sunny, windy, rainy, etc..) and asks if its going to rain. She has a pretty big fear of thunderstorms and I think it's all tied together. They made this dial at school where she can point the arrow to the type of weather she sees outside. She's very into it. And the human body...oh yes. I have an app on my ipad on her ipod touch that goes through all the main body organs and systems. Just this morning we were talking about the spine, pelvis, and brain. I find myself stumped already by her questions...like "mommy whats the spleen for?" hmmm I clearly should have listened better in anatomy class. And the way she remembers us teaching her things like when she got to the skull photo she said "the skull keeps your brain from falling out!" yes Savvy that's right! HA! So literal and hilarious.

She's a whopping 42" tall, and still long and lean. She's in 5t- and some 5/6 clothes! Eats anything we put in front of her now. Sauteed mushrooms, swiss chard, spinach...she's an eater.

She's still VERY into the Fresh Beat Band and we're taking her on April 13th to the Cobb Galleria to see the show! I got great seats which were a total splurge but what the heck! We have a walkway in front of us so I'm hoping a few of them walk through the crowds. I'll be doing some silly shameless FBB dancing for sure! We got her an outfit like Marina too (one of the members), its going to be so much fun!

She loves her batmobile and voice activated tarantula...altough its missing now??? She's now said she wishes she had batman clothes....she's been wearing her spiderman clothes until they've almost shredded. 

Here is our tradition of a birthday pancakes/waffle with strawberries, a bit of whip cream, candles and a surprise peep! What the heck it IS HER BIRTHDAY! Easton clearly wanted some...can you tell?

Then later that day we invited her best buddy Sarah to come to Kangaroo Jakes with us for some jumpy fun and some lunch. The girls had a ball, after two hours they couldn't muster the strength to go on any more! Now thats worth every penny!

Easton tried it out...he's not so sure.

In the afternoon after some much needed relaxation time for the girly we put together the water table that Meme and Baba got for Easton for his bday. I know its early but its been in the 80s everyday so anything with water is very refreshing! Oh my goodness did they love it?? E is pulling up on everything so he loves to hang on here and splish splash around...that is until his sister dumps water on his head...

Every once in a while Easton will look at you and point and smile...its hilarious. It's like he's saying..."How you doin?"

Easter Party at AJM!

The Easter party for the preschool this year took place at a kids home. They do this so we can have a fun egghunt and not have all the kids at the school all over each other with limited space. We had this years hunt at Walkers house The Hurds and it was a PERFECT spring day for it! Have I told you how much I love spring? LOOOOVE IT! Haydee brought the kids and Kevin and I were able to celebrate with them at the party. Easton loved sitting and watching all the kids play and hunt eggs.

Right when we pulled up Savannah spotted Trent and she started yelling for him "TREEEEEEEEEEENNNNNNNTT" in her most southern twangy voice. They immediately embraced and decided they wanted to hold hands to walk into the party. SO CUTE! I love his red hair!

Then it was time to eat lunch so the parents stand around and watch and take awkward photos of the kids eating....

Easton looks thrilled but really he enjoyed being at the party with all the kiddos.

And Easton, what a cutie patootie. Kevin gave him some empty eggs to play with and he was in heaven. He's jabbering away here, he's a very good jibber jabber-er...totally not a word.

School Birthday for Savvy!

Luckily Savannahs school still lets us bring sugary snacks for kiddos birthdays! So on Wednesday of this week Savannah told me she wanted Cupcakes with pink icing that were toy story themed...hmmm I'm no baker so I improvised. Cupcake toppers and a little food coloring and she was a happy camper. Can you tell by the cake faces?

I love browsing the art in her room. This is her rainbow craft. They have to cut stuff out now so those clouds are impressive!

And then the sugar kicked in and the kids went WILD! 

It was so cute to see all the kids say Happy Birthday Savannah and sing to her, she even got to be the leader. She was in heaven!!
