Beach Trip to Watercolor, FL!

We had an amazing vacation at Watercolor Florida this past week! We went with our friends the Whelchels (Lee and Kristen and their two kids Emme and Jackson), and the Willis's (and their son Brody who all you know well if you read the blog often) The resort was fabulous, the house we rented was gorgeous, and the company was delightful as always. We really couldn't have asked for a better week! The resort is a "bike community" so the resort and amenities are built around this. We rented two beach cruisers and a bike trailer to tow Savannah and our beach/pool gear. It was so nice to not have to get in the car! The resort had 5 pools, each one better than the next! I think our fave was the frog pool where there are 3 ceramic frogs that squirt water into the pool! Savannah loved getting in and out of whatever pool we were at including the baby pool. She is truly a water bug! They had also built a new pool right by our house, with a built in gas grill and a baby pool. It was nice to have a spot to cool down 2 minutes away. We went to the beach several times, and she just loved it. Whether she was sitting in the sand playing with Brody, Emme and Jackson or just wading in the waves with Daddy. Savannah really enjoyed all the play time with the kids. She showed everyone her running abilities, as she ran UP and DOWN the hallway probably 1000 times. I think she might be a runner like her momma! Emme and Jackson were so helpful with the babies, reading to them, blowing bubbles, telling their mommas when they were getting into trouble....it was like extra hands! We also found out that Savannah and Emme's favorite foods are the same. Eggo Pancake Mini's!! Brody took to hugging Savannah and the other kids, it was so cute! He just wanted to cuddle! I think they really bonded this trip. The time with our friends was wonderful too, we'd stay up after the babies (most nights...lol) and chat on the porch. It's been awhile since we'd had that much time with friends. So needed! I did a tennis clinic one morning and had an amazing massage. Kevin and the boys fit in a workout everyday as well. The place was really wonderful. We're already planning our next trip!! Now that we know the place we can't wait to go back. We had professional beach pics taken on Thursday, the rain almost squashed our plans but we raced to beat the rain and the overcast/sunset skies made for an amazing background!! We really couldn't have asked for a better week. Hate to head back to the office tomorrow...do you think they'll let me have a glass of sangria at 2pm?? Ha ha! Nana and Grandpa Ed came to visit!

We had a fab visit with my momma (nana) and Grandpa Ed last weekend. It wasn't long enough (is it ever??) but we managed to jam a ton of fun stuff in! They got in Friday afternoon and were able to see Savannah before I even got home. Savannah totally remembered them and was quick to give them kisses and hugs and show them all her toys! Saturday we went to our company Benefits Fair/Picnic. We got to see Kevin get dunked in the dunk tank 100 times which was pretty funny. The line got longer when he got in, I wonder why? Then on Sunday-Father's Day we drove up to Chattanooga, TN, had a great lunch at BluePointe, and then let Savannah frolic in the water at the aquarium. With the temps in the upper 90's we all had our feet in! It was wonderful to see Savannah love all over my parents...it was like no time lost. They even watched her Monday while I was at work. She usually fusses a bit when I'm about to leave...not this time. She was like see ya! I got a tiny blown kiss and she was over it. Overall it was a wonderful time, and I can't wait for them to come back at the end of July! Hope you and yours have a great weekend! XOXO

Ok I know...two posts in one day??? But today was TOO fun to not talk about! It was almost 90 degrees today, perfect day for water fun!!!!

We went swimming at the Palmers and it was super fun! Savannah loves to jump off the diving board and swim under water! She's a total water bug. I had to drag her out because her skin was getting so pruney. She just loves to swim...she had a great time with Grandma and Daddy. I tried to get a little sun on my ol' pasty body.

Then we came home and gave our furbabies a bath. Savannah loved helping daddy! She even got carried away and wanted to give Marley a kiss when she was full of suds! I don't think she'll make that mistake again! Dog shampoo doesn't taste very good. She actually got a great tan today, I think she might have her dad's skin! I'm well...still PASTY! Not a shocker...

It was a fab Sunday...just wanted to share our good times.

Savannah Update!

Savannah is becoming such a big girl! She's starting to use a spoon, and she's getting pretty good at it! She loves to eat her meals all by herself, she's becoming very independent these days. Her favorite foods of the moment are scrambled eggs (thank goodness for egg beaters), cheese (still), cherries, watermelon, strawberries, applesauce, chicken, beans...all kinds of them...black beans, kidney beans, refriend beans, corn, ham and turkey. The girls likes to eat! She's doing great on milk as well.

She now was 10 teeth! Her bottom front molars popped up yesterday! No crankiness to go along with it either, wooohooo!

Her vocabulary is insane, she says momma, dada, dog, no, shoe (you have to hear her say shoe its sooo southern), bath, hey, yes, what's this?, baby, up, grandad, ball, pretty, and her newest word bird. There is a nest on the ledge on our front porch so we get to peak at the fuzzy heads of the babies.

She does so many new things these days, like smell the flowers or she can show you where her belly, mouth, nose, and eyes are. And you can ask her in both spanish and english Thanks to Haydee. She loves to blow kisses or bessitos, she kicks the ball and throws it like a champ. She's just such a big girl now. When did my baby turn into a toddler? Well that was my brag session for the day. She's rising from her nap and we're going to go swim at Grandma and Grandads! Have a great rest of your weekend!
